Breakfast at Wita's

The past few days, I have had the privilege of getting up early and taking Tia V to work.

When Kelli asked me if I would, she must have forgotten to tell me what time to pick her up. Well, I was thinking she had to be at work at eight, and as you can probably guess, I was wrong.

So I show up around 7:45 to take her to work. She didn't have to be at work til 8: 20 so Wita asked me if I wanted an egg. I agreed to eat because I didn't think it would take me long to eat one egg.

About five minutes later, Wita placed a plate in front of me consisting of eggs (plural), bacon, and two tortillas, no lie! It was very yummy and Wita and I had a staggered, but great conversation about my trip to Dallas! It was a great morning because after being stuffed with goodness and taking Tia V to work, I went back to sleep! :)

Oh the joys of college life!

Back to the Real World

Today was my first day back in San Angelo. I can honestly say that I hated not waking up and asking, " So, what are we going to do today?"

It was really good to see my family. I missed them alot too! But yes, I miss Dallas already too!

So today I took my dad lunch and we ate at his school. Kelli and I went to Dairy Queen to get some dipped cones (wink Tia Yaya)!

For those of you who know me, I can't week so thats the best it gets!

Ryan had a game at TLC and he played exceptionally! I asked my sisters, "Why is he so good?", cause he really is amazing!

From there, I had to go to work! It wasn't that bad, though, actually it was good to see all my friends that I hadn't seen in five days!

That was pretty much my day today! I do have more pictures coming and will try not to make ya'll wait too long!

Sunday the 11th

Yesterday was my Uncle Lionel's birthday! Happy Birthday Uncle Lionel! Thanks for everything you do for me and and everybody else. You are also a role model of a godly man!

So yesterday, we attended Grace Community Church. Uncle Lionel had a great idea to go to the early service so we would be out by 11 to go eat at Pappasitos! The service was really good, and so was the Sunday School!

Pappasitos was AMAZING! It was very filling and tasteful. After lunch we headed to Grapevine Mills mall. Cheli and I spent about an hour in Forever 21 and then some time in Aeropostale.

When we got home, everybody was really tired so we all rested. Cheli especially needed to rest for her cooking extravaganza that night. Her exact words were: "Ohhhh, you come to my house, take off you shoes, I make you fly lice!" You can read the post about our delicious "fly lice" here!

After a late night trip to Wal-mart for Cheli's lunch for the week, we had a great time hanging out....pretty much it!

Saturday, the 10th

Yesterday was the most amazing, restful day that I have had in a long time.

We started our day off at, thats right people, 1:30, when we took a trip to Vista Ridge Mall. It was really alot of fun because Cheli and I got to spend some quality cousin time together. So I had needed some jeans so we go into Aeropostale and I find the two most perfect jeans. I decided that I needed to try them on so I wasn't spending money on stuff that I couldn't wear. Just then, one of the sales associates fainted and it caused this big ruckus in the store. I felt really bad but I wouldn't have been able to try on any jeans so we just left.

Next came the best part: Red Robin! It was uber yummy! We started our meal off with a tower of onion rings...man, these were hot and the taste was amazing. I have never found some better than Cheddar's...until now.

Next, we went to a place called the Chocolate Apothecary. This place was filled with chocolate everywhere...Bethany would have liked it! Tia Y decided to get a piece of chocolate cake for later since we had just eaten....AMAZING CAKE!

After a trip to Wal-mart later on for some snacks and other necessities, we decided to watch a movie. Then some kids from their old youth group came over, so there went our movie plans. It was really fun talking with these kids and laughing hard.

That's pretty much all we did! Yes, this life is GOOD!

Pictures from my second day in the big city!

I just called to say I love you!

Yesterday was a super fun day!

I woke up not too early and not too late: about 9:30, the perfect time. Since Tia Y and Uncle L had to work half a day, I had some time to shower and get ready for the day. When they got here, we decided to eat at Babe's Chicken. Wow, seriously, this was some of the best chicken I have EVER had.

After lunch, we went to Fry's Electronics to price laptops and other things. After some time there, we went to see Cheli and work. We got to meet alot of the people she works with, most of which are very funny!

After our big lunch, we all got tired so decided to go home to take a nap by way of Dairy Queen to get some ice cream. Yummy!

When we got home, Tia Y and Uncle L went to take a nap, and I stayed up and waited for Cheli to get home for work. When she came home from work, we were talking and laughing, and then she decided she was hungry. She decided to eat a piece of the leftover chicken from Babe's. After that, she was still a little hungry but didn't know what she wanted. She finally decided on Spam and made it for herself.

Then Cheli and I had a little adventure, so to speak. It was a little scary so Cheli is going to blog about it.

Cheli and I went upstairs later to see what was on tv. While watching House of Payne, a trailer came on for a movie called Not Easily Broken. This is a movie by T.D. Jakes, and it was really good. Ask Cheli or me about the movie because we have some funny stories to tell that I don't want to put on here.

Anyway, We decided to take a ride to downtown Dallas. We parked and walked a little to some shops, one of which was a cowboy shop. Hehe:) Then we headed back and ate at Spaghetti Warehouse. It was very yummy!

It was very fun because on the way home, we started listening to Oldies. The songs we heard were Dancing Queen, It's a beautiful morning, another one that I don't know the name of it, and I just called to say I love you. Oh and let me tell you, Cheli and I went to town with that song!

After we got home, we just kind of hung out until Cheli and I left for the movie. We decided to see the late showing at 10:40 so we weren't out of the movie til about 12:30. It was a very fun day!

Oh yeah and I'm putting the pictures on another thing cause it will be too hard to fit them all on here!

Hey you!

Tomorrow, we have big plans.

On that list, we have that Tia Y is going to get set up on Facebook!

Any suggestions on which college she should use???

Leave your suggestions below please!

Typing tests

Cheli and I decided to have a typing competition, so to speak.

Our scores are as follows:

Josiah- 44 words per minute with 1 mistake

Cheli- 41, 41, 43 words per minute with 8 mistakes

thats right, Cheli is determined to beat me so she has taken it three times and is starting, yet another fourth test. Do you think she can beat me?

This is getting kind of funny!

Dallas' Next Top Model (Hispanic Edition)

Trashman only comes once a month in the barrio!

First night in the big city

Tonight was very fun!

Actually, I got to take a little nap this afternoon while everybody got off work. When Tia Yaya and Uncle Lionel got home, we decided we would eat a place called Mama's Pizza.

We met some of their friends, the Newmans, for supper and we made very nice conversation. Cheli was unable to join us because she had a dental cleaning at six so she just grabbed something, and it happened to be Chick-fil-A. By the way, Mama's was amazing! The pizza was very tasty and the company was great too!

Next, it was off to Cavendar's Boot City to exhange an outfit for the little cowboy in our family.
When we got there, the manager asked if I would consider modeling in front of some horses for one of their publicity stories. I willingly agreed. Check these out!

When we got home, Cheli and I decided to drive around to see the city. We stopped at Kohl's for a little bit but just to look around. By the way, all you who love shoes-Kohl's is having a HUGE sale on shoes. That's right, Kelli, sorry! We drove around some more...I discovered that Dallas has a store called The Dump! While one may think that this is a store for toilets and other bathroom accessories, it is actually a furniture store. Funny, right?

Anyway, so that is pretty much my first night! I'm already having a blast.

Oh yeah, and don't forget to comment!

It's her birthday...so happy birthday!

Today is my Aunt Anabel's birthday. Aunt Anabel is my godmother and I have many memories of spending time with her when I was younger....the stories she has are even funnier. I remember always wanting to go to her house, and crying when I didn't get to. I distinctly remember asking to spend the night at your house often. Tia Yaya says she would even have to sneak out so I wouldn't cry. (a la Nacho) Anyways!

So this is a shout out to her:

Aunt Anabel-

Happy Birthday! Thank You for always being such a strong role model for me and always praying and just being there for me!

I thank God that I have someone like you and Uncle Benjy in my life and I love you both very much! Again, Happy Birthday!

Winter Break

So these past few weeks have been extremely restful! Let me tell you, I love it!

Being off school for about four and a half weeks so far has been very good in the sense that I have been able to catch up on sleep, work more hours, and just do stuff that I don't get to do when I'm in school!

I still have about two more weeks of this break, part of which I am spending here in Dallas.

Waking up late and going to bed late....that is the life. What am I going to do when January 20 rolls around?

I'm here!

Hey Everybody!!!!

I arrived in Dallas around 12:45 today! Thank God that I arrived safely!

I have only been here for about an hour and a half but Tia Y and I have already had our first adventure. That's right...I lost my luggage temporarily! Hehe, actually we were just waiting at the wrong baggage claim! :) Unlike San Angelo, DFW has more than one baggage claim! We were both extremely confused but had a good laugh when we finally found it! After a relaxing lunch at Whataburger, Tia Y brought me home and voilare, I am blogging!

I am so excited about this upcoming weekend. Uncle Lionel, Tia Yaya, Cheli, and I are sure to have a blast!

I brought my camera so expect alot of pictures....both serious and crazy....but probably more of the crazy! And yes, Bethany, we are going to eat at Pappasito's!
